The Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Awards A-G Associates the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) Logistical Support, OD Support, and Operation Support Contract
This contract is a continuation of A-G’s long-standing partnership providing high quality, effective, and efficient logistical support services to enhance and enable the agency’s high-impact programmatic work.
10/1/2024 (Columbia, MD) – A-G Associates, a leading SBA 8(a) / SDVOSB specializing in high quality organizational consulting and management services for mission-driven organizations across the federal, private, and non-profit sectors, is proud to announce the award of the five-year Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) Logistical Support, OD Support, and Operation Support Contract by the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). This contract was awarded on the SAMHSA IDIQ vehicle.
SAMHSA falls within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation by developing programs that reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities. One of many organizations within the SAMHSA umbrella, the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) leads federal efforts to promote the prevention and treatment of mental disorders – particularly for adults who have serious mental illness (SMI) and children and youth with serious emotional disorders (SED). CMHS also leads nationwide programmatic initiatives addressing high-profile topics like the implementation of the 988 Mental Health Crisis Line and the Kids Online Health and Safety Report.
To carry out its mission, CMHS collaborates with A-G to engage with grantees, stakeholder groups, and various constituencies from diverse communities across the nation. CMHS engaged A-G Associates to provide exceptional, timely, efficient, and cost-effective logistical and operational support services to enable high-impact in-person meetings of various types and sizes, provide technical support for virtual meetings, and provide high quality consultation to support program objectives and develop effective and impactful materials for the highest quality outcomes.
“The A-G Team is humbled and honored to continue our work supporting the SAMHSA and CMHS for another five years with the award of this recompeted contract,” commented A-G Associates President and co-founder Chris Gonzalez. “This win represents the deep mission-alignment that A-G has developed over more than a decade as a trusted partner to SAMHSA and is testimony to the exceptional performance of our talented and dedicated team working side by side with CMHS to deliver mission success over the past five years.”
“It has been a great privilege for A-G – and for me personally – to support this important mission of improving, expanding, and advancing vital substance use and mental illness services for diverse communities nation-wide by enabling meaningful public health programming initiatives,” commented A-G’s Vice President of Public Health Delora Shedrick. “Over the past five years, our team has managed an astounding 1,500 meetings/events to SAMHSA; including virtual events, conferences, training and related events of all sizes; provided support to more than 10,000 stakeholders; and developed more than 300 written assignments ranging from briefings, policy papers, environmental scans to tool kits, training curricula, and reports to Congress and the White House. I am excited about what the future holds for this team, and I look forward to continuing this purposeful work in this new chapter of this contract – and beyond.”
