FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICE
The Challenge

With approximately 1,400 employees, the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) provides 15 Nutrition Assistance programs to a variety of stakeholders across America, with a mission of increasing food security and reducing hunger by providing community access to food, a healthful diet, and nutrition education. FNS achieves their mission by providing grants to states and community service providers. As the needs of the American people have changed during COVID, FNS must also adjust their processes and ability to provide critical programs the American public.
