NOT-FOR-PROFIT
The Challenge
The National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors, Inc. (NASADAD) is a not-for-profit organization that supports individual states with the development of their alcohol and drug abuse prevention and treatment programs. Every year, A-G supports NASADADs annual meeting that convenes (1) Single state Agency Directors for alcohol and other drug services, (2) State Prevention Coordinators, (3) Treatment Coordinators, (4) Women’s Services Coordinators, and (5) other state staff and national stakeholders who work on substance use, misuse, and disorders. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss the latest substance use trends and practices; engage in discussions on emerging issues; and share information on model programs and strategies used across the prevention, treatment, and recovery system.
Services
As a subcontractor, A-G supports NASADAD through stakeholder engagement services. A-G designs the registration website, meeting materials for the annual stakeholder meeting, and delivers technical assistance by providing graphic design and production support for NASADAD’s program and resource materials.
Impact
A-G’s efforts to support the collaboration between the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) and NASADAD helps to further SAMHSA’s mission and new initiatives. This collaborative effort assists single state agencies in implementing, monitoring, and reporting on SAMHSA’s national initiatives and policies.
