The Challenge

Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Document Services engaged A-G to transform its worldwide printing and copying service to a 21st century digital services provider. A-G staff worked with senior leadership to assess customers, stakeholders, and staff; define their strategic direction; and develop a roadmap for achieving change.
Services

Most recently, we supported benchmarking and operational efficiency studies, comparing DLA Document Services to the private sector, which included a bottom-up analysis of functions and operations. Our analyses enabled DLA to determine how to reduce costs, while better serving DoD customers and stakeholders, using best industry models, infrastructure, and practices.
Impact

The analysts and organizational change experts at A-G provided data-driven recommendations to DLA Document Services, from the organization’s inception to the recent decisions to incorporate many of its functions into the DLA technology platforms. We also developed state-of-the-art marketing practices and materials, as well as trained and coached customer service representatives, sales teams, project managers, and managers. These services helped DLA Document services compete with private-sector competitors.
