The Challenge

Since the development of the Affordable Care Act, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has navigated through significant changes in healthcare with a new focus on population health and serving the Medicare and Medicaid populations more effectively.

Services

To provide support during these changes, CMS engaged A-G to provide strategic and operations planning, team building, employee engagement, and organizational alignment efforts. While some activities were larger in scale, resulting in the development of strategic plans, others were small in scale, with the facilitation of team-building events.

Impact

A-G supported nearly 20 components of CMS, including those that focus on healthcare quality, program integrity, and Medicare/Medicaid hearing and inquiries. Our work with CMS has allowed us to gain unique perspectives about healthcare innovation, quality, program integrity, and other management issues to provide valuable insight to other clients. We have enabled CMS leaders to gain feedback from internal and external stakeholders that lead to well-informed decisions and achieve attainable goals.
