Stephanie Crews, CGMP, CVEP
Stephanie is a highly experienced professional with experience in providing superior logistical and management support services. She is well versed in setting priorities and multitasking, while ensuring seamless execution of pre-event, onsite, and post-event tasks. She has provided project management on numerous Federal Government contracts. She has excellent communication skills, organizational capabilities, and extensive knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulations.
Stephanie currently works as a project director for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) logistical contract. She is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day project rated activities of the contract, which include monitoring and tracking project budgets, deliverables, and deadlines; reviewing the work of team members to ensure the highest standards of quality; and working with clients to define overall communications strategies and project objectives. She provides leadership on all events supporting the CMHS contract. She is responsible for ensuring fiscal accountability and managing all aspects of the contract from resource allocation to invoice reconciliation and submitting deliverables.
Prior to her position at A-G, she managed and oversaw high profile, in-person and virtual events for the Office of Naval Research held locally and at military sites throughout the United States. She ensured execution of all phases of pre-events, onsite, and post-events support including site selection, contract negotiation, lodging, travel arrangements, and invoice reconciliation. Stephanie managed onsite staff and served as a liaison between clients and participants. She collaborated with writers/editors to produce effective correspondence, reports, summaries, and other documents. She negotiated bids and service agreements with audiovisual, transportation, and other event-related vendors.
Stephanie’s clients included the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), and the Office of Management, Technology, and Operations (OMTO) with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the National Health Services Corp (NHSC) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Stephanie has her CGMP, which is the highest certification in government meeting planning, and is a member of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI). She recently received her Certified Virtual Event Planner (CVEP) Certificate.
