Lizbeth Ericka Caceda

Lizbeth is an experienced research and evaluation consultant supporting contracts for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Lizbeth serves as project director for behavioral health, overseeing a team of program evaluators working on the evaluation of SAMHSA’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grants, and Community Mental Health Clinic Grants for the Center for Mental Health Services, as well as the Medication Assisted Treatment Grant for the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. Lizbeth led the qualitative study and report to congress of the effectiveness of Veterans Affairs Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Outreach Campaigns as enacted in the S.785 Commander John Scott Hannon Veterans Mental Health Care Improvement Act of 2019 for the Department of Veterans Affairs.

In her previous work, she served as the project director and deputy project director for the National Cancer Institute, Administration for Community Living, and SAMHSA contracts to disseminate information on best practices and evidence-based programs for public health and behavioral health practitioners. Lizbeth’s work has been published in the International Journal of Evidence-based Healthcare, Journal of Public Child Welfare, and the Journal of Behavioral Health Services and Research. As a community counselor she has worked with families and adolescents in behavior management training.

Lizbeth has an M.Ed. in community agency counseling from George Mason University and a B.A. in psychology from CUNY Queens College. Her project evaluation experience includes quantitative and qualitative methods, training and technical assistance, materials development, and cultural considerations for the evaluation, implementation, and dissemination of evidence-based programs. Her areas of expertise include aging and disability, behavioral health, cancer control, child welfare, education, and mental health promotion. Lizbeth is a Certified Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher integrating mental health promotion through wellness practices. She is working on publishing her first children’s book.
