Leandra Vera, M.A.
Leandra Vera is an analyst at A-G Associates, where she supports multiple projects, including an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Engagement (EDIE) contract and several mental health contracts. Her love of problem solving is often used by translating data into actionable results. She provides quality assurance for A-G’s Focus software and the company website, where she also reviews and writes content. She assists in the creation and organization of content and planning services, co-facilitates meetings, and provides technical assistance. She is also on the philanthropy committee at A-G.
Prior to working at A-G, Leandra spent eleven years in education, supporting diverse and At-Risk students in Florida and Hawaii. She was an English teacher and then program manager for the English Language Learners (ELL) program at a high school. She was passionate in this position, as she had the opportunity to guide students in their journey through high school and educate families about the resources available to them. She was proud to earn the Ida S. Baker Diversity Educator of the Year Award for her school.
While accomplishing this position, Leandra volunteered as the event co-coordinator of the Relay For Life event at the school for five years. She oversaw the planning and execution of the 18-hour, student-led event. She became particularly involved in the logistics and donations committees, initiating and maintaining relationships with community stakeholders.
She received her B.S. and M.A. in English Education from the University of South Florida. She completed a Project Management (PMP) course with Syracuse University and is currently studying for the PMP exam. Leandra Vera volunteers with the PTA at her children’s school and has served as the silent auction chair and the Hispanic liaison.
