Chris Gonzalez, MAT, PMP
Chris Gonzalez’s career has been shaped by an interesting mix of teaching, military, and government consulting experiences. For twelve years he has served in multiple project management, strategic planning, program design & evaluation, and data collection and analysis roles. He has a depth of experience in private sector firms, Howard County Public School System, the US Government, and the Governments of Afghanistan and Panama. He currently supports several clients in the Federal Government and private sector. His clients include the Marine Corps, Department of Agriculture, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and Federal Deposit Insurance Company.
In 2003, Chris deployed to Iraq with the 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion then took a break from the military shortly afterwards. In 2010, Chris rejoined the Marines and worked with the Government of Panama, in The Darien Province, where he strengthened community relations with all law enforcement officials. In 2011, Chris deployed to Afghanistan to support the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and promote political and economic stability. Chris was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal for his efforts in Afghanistan and Panama and still serves as an instructor at the Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group in Virginia Beach, VA and Marine Corps Civil Military Operations School in Quantico, VA.
In 2017, A-G Associates received the Bridging the Gap Achievement Award by the Greater Baltimore Committee and Future 50 Business Leaders Award by Smart CEO Magazine. In 2018, he was awarded the Young Alumni Achievement Award from his alma mater, Frostburg State University. Chris is a graduate from Operation Hand Salute, an Executive Development program through John F. Kennedy University and AT&T. He is also the Associate Producer of Bastards’ Road, a full-length film about a Marine Corps Veteran who conquers post-traumatic stress by walking across the country.
He received his B.S. in Social Science from Frostburg State University, and his Master of Arts in Teaching from Towson University. Chris currently sits on the Board of Directors for Health Care Access Maryland and Mentoring Mentors. He is a regular speaker and supporter of the Veteran and Latino Business communities. He is a certified WholeScale Change™ facilitator and Project Management Professional.
