Aisha Walker

Aisha Walker is a highly experienced professional with more than fifteen years of experience in providing superior administrative and logistical support services. She is adept in setting priorities and multitasking while ensuring seamless execution of pre-event, onsite, and post-event tasks on numerous Federal Government contracts. She has excellent communication skills, strong analytical and organizational capabilities, and extensive knowledge of the Federal Travel Regulations and executing advisory committee meetings according to Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA).

Aisha currently works as a project director for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) logistical contract. Ms. Walker is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day project related activities and implementation of the contract. She provides leadership on all events supporting the CSAT contract. She is responsible for ensuring fiscal accountability and managing all aspects of the contract from resource allocation to invoice reconciliation and submitting deliverables. She assists the management team with business development activities and marketing efforts. In addition, Aisha also serves as the project director for the National Association of State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Directors (NASADAD) State and Territory Liaison & Technical Assistance contract. She oversees and coordinates the logistical support for NASADAD’s Annual Meetings and development of NASADAD’s program and resource materials. Prior to her promotion to project director, Aisha worked as a logistics coordinator to produce meetings, conferences, and webinars for Federal clients. She designed and maintained registration and database applications to track meeting costs, participant, and payment information. She executed all phases of pre-events, onsite, and post-events support including site selection, contract negotiation, lodging, travel arrangements, and invoice reconciliation.

Prior to joining A-G Associates, Aisha worked with various Federal clients on a wide range of topics such as fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, Medicare fraud and abuse, training and certification workshops, and the prevention and treatment of substance abuse and mental disorders and illnesses. Her clients included the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Center for Mental Health Services, and CSAT with SAMHSA; the Administration for Community Living; and the Office of Rural Health Policy with the Health Resources and Services Administration.

Aisha is a Certified Virtual Events Producer (CVEP) and has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland-College Park and a M.S. in Management Studies from the University of Maryland-Global Campus (formerly University of Maryland-University College). She is a member of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals and Project Management Institute.
